MangaPimps using Joomla MangaPimps (Joomla/XHTML/CSS)

Description: This was the parent site of the MangaPimps Forums that I designed for. I used the Joomla content management system as the back-end for it.  The theme here was paper.  I wanted to create a papery look to this website to reflect that of manga comic pages.  In order to liven it up, I added colors to the textures.  The colors were taken from the large and vibrant header image.

Interactive Flash Essay Interactive Essay (Flash/XHTML/CSS)

Description: This was a website that I created to display my thoughts on interactive technology and the future of it. The design idea for this was vectored graphics.  I wanted to try my hand at creating cute vectored icon like graphics that I’ve seen on sites like istock photo.  I also tried to integrate the ideas found in the essay, into the interactive flash navigation.

MangaPimps 2.0 Final Design MangaPimps 2.0 (Joomla/XHTML/CSS)

Description: This is the redesign of the MangaPimps website I did. The owner is a Japanese comic enthusiast. It still uses the content management system Joomla as the backend.  The theme this time was to move away from the manga paper feel of the last design (above) and to create a clean looking, web 2.0-esque design that would be attractive and easy to use for site visitors.

chrisyerkes.com final design chrisyerkes.com (Wordpress/XHTML/CSS)

Description: I designed this for my own personal portfolio site. It is replacing my already existing studio-cy website. I designed this around colors that I felt were easy to notice and looked good together. I didn’t just want a flat website, so I used subtle pixel textures to give it more variety and oomph.
